If you haven't heard of it, you have not experienced the true joy/ complete and total chaos/ destruction of your social life/FEELS that comes from anime.
The story is set in a world where these huge Kawaii-as-anything Humanoids without genitalia called Titans kill, trouble and eat humans. Eventually, the humans build these three massive walls that protect the humans from the titans (but this doesn't last for long).

So, during this brief time of peace within the walls, there's this boy named Eren Jaeger who wants to join the Survey Corps (a military group that goes outside the walls and fights titans). He's always being told it's a bad idea by his friends and family members.But his heart is set on it.

One day, as Eren is out with his friends Mikasa and Armin, a collosal titan breaks down the wall that protects Eren's city, allowing many titans to come in the wall. Within seconds, Eren's town is in complete chaos as humans are being eaten left and right. To add to the tragedy that Eren has had to witness, Eren and Mikasa watch helplessly as a titan eats Eren's mom.
After retreating to safety, Eren becomes kind of Light Yagami-crazy and vows to kill all the titans.
It's all very good and I would highly recommend it to everyone.
