Midnight Secretary by Ohmi Tomu

....
.......

This manga was aight. Kinda weird, kinda stupid, but also kinda good.

Kaya, who is considered to be the "perfect secretary", was sent to work under Kyohei Touma, the rude, strict, promiscuous director. At first, Touma criticizes Kaya for her terrible fashion sense (It turns out that she dresses that way to be taken more seriously, as normally she has a baby-face) and tells her she won't be working for him long, but Kaya turns out to be a more than adequate worker. One night, while working late, Kaya discovers that Touma is actually a VAMPIRE!(Yes, it's one of these mangas...) After having his secret discovered, Touma first threatens Kaya, but then decides she's perfect because he doesn't have to hide his secret with her. Of course, after tons of blood sucking, self-conflicts, and problems with the vampire clan, the two end up together. This was DEFINITELY a josei manga. I mean, the scenario is a workplace, so of course it would be josei. They also, like, did it in every chapter (It wasn't a hentai manga, though. [I WILL NOT BE TALKING ABOUT ANY OF THOSE TYPES OF MANGAS ON MY BLOG BECAUSE 1. do not read those kinds of manga, and 2. I'm much, MUCH too young.]It was mostly just insinuated, then discussed later in the book.)

I really liked how Kaya wasn't just some incapable protagonist that was always crying over Touma. Kaya was definitely her own woman, incredibly hard-working and mature. But Touma was just annoying. He couldn't deal with his growing feelings for most of the book, and I just wanted to scream "WHO CARES IF SHE'S A HUMAN, JUST LOVE HER" at him.

Anyway, I give this manga a 2.75/5... It was good, but it was also kind of stupid and annoying at times.
